According to the city’s vice chairman Ngo Van Quy, tourism will be set as one of the city’s key economic drivers. The authorities hope the new development plan will help attract more tourists, enable longer stays and increase the returning rate.

The city will launch a pilot programme to set up new logo, signposts and products in the city centre and traditional craft villages such as Bat Trang and Van Phuc. The Tourism Department was also asked to gather opinions and complete the tourism action plan for 2016-2020 period.
