The Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports is planning to organise ‘Ha Noi Festive,’ a fireworks, light and colours festival, to celebrate the 2017 New Year.
Themed ‘Ha Noi in the Past – Ha Noi at Present,’ the festival will be held from December 31, 2016 to January 2, 2017 on pedestrian streets in Ha Noi’s Old Quarter and T-Ocean Park in the suburban district of Quoc Oai.
The festival aims to recreate the traditional beauty of Ha Noi in combination with contemporary music and laser light shows and colourful fireworks performances.
Major activities during the festival will include an international fireworks performance, arts performances, folk games and street art performances with the participation of over 1,000 volunteers.
The highlight of the festival will be an electronic music show that is expected to attract an audience of over 10,000, as well as 150 actors and several famous singers such as Noo Phuoc Thinh, Thu Phuong and My Linh.
‘Ha Noi Festive’ will also introduce a 2km road of lanterns and flowers and an expo with over 100 booths.
